Michelle takes a person-centered approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and tailoring treatment to their individual needs, strengths, and goals. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring life's challenges and discovering new ways to move forward. Michelle integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic interventions, and mindfulness practices to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and practical coping skills. Her clinical experience includes supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression and mood concerns, trauma and PTSD, emotional dysregulation, OCD, ODD, adjustment disorders, performance anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and histories of self-harm.
Michelle enjoys working with children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and their families, while also welcoming adults at all stages of life. With adults, she works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-esteem and confidence concerns, relationship and family challenges, work and career stress, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. She particularly enjoys working with adults who may be high-achieving or accustomed to putting everyone else's needs before their own and are looking for a space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and develop healthier ways of coping. Michelle supports adults as they navigate changes in relationships, parenting, career, identity, and other major life transitions, helping them build boundaries, strengthen emotional regulation, improve self-understanding, and create greater balance in their lives.
Michelle also enjoys partnering with parents and families, helping caregivers better understand their child's emotional and behavioral needs while strengthening communication and connection within the family. Whether working with a child struggling with emotions, a teenager navigating social and academic pressures, a young adult finding their independence, or an adult feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, Michelle's goal is to meet clients where they are and help them feel empowered, connected, and hopeful. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works alongside each client to build on their strengths, develop meaningful skills, process difficult experiences, and create lasting change.
