Brendan is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with 4+ years of experience working in the behavioral health and human services field in roles that include Individual Therapy in a collegiate setting and outpatient setting as well as Case Management completing home visits for underserved families throughout Philadelphia.

Brendan is devoted to forming trusting, caring, and empathic relationships with all of his clients which will provide the foundation to make positive changes in their lives. Through his work, he strives to act as a tool to facilitate intrinsic, positive growth in the lives of others. He has a strong passion for helping individuals develop new insights into their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions while strengthening skills to better manage the stressors of life. He recognizes the uniqueness of each individual while also leveraging the universal hopes to create a happy and meaningful life for themselves.
In therapy, he utilizes Person-Centered principles to cultivate a warm relationship with clients while also incorporating CBT, Reality Therapy, and mindfulness into his work. He believes that incorporating different theoretical frameworks can create a well-rounded approach to treatment. Brendan combines theoretical components with his intrinsic qualities of compassion, relatability, emotional intelligence, and humanistic insight into his work.
He primarily works with older teens and young to middle aged adults with varying mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, performance anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, identity development, coming-of-age concerns, low self-esteem/self-confidence, anger management, relationship issues, familial concerns, substance abuse, and ADHD.
He completed his internship at Temple University where he provided individual counseling services to student-athletes on a wide range of concerns including performance anxiety, depression, trauma, relational conflicts, substance abuse, and suicidality. For his practicum requirement, he led a social skills group for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to assist in their development of interpersonal skills and emotion regulation.
